Arlene, the oldest of seven children, grew up in Waunakee, WI. Her first and favorite passion was teaching and working with children, Arlene taught in Catholic Schools in Fond du Lac, Altoona, PA, Elmhurst, IL, Mound Bayou, MS, and Phoenix, AZ. After taking Educational Administration courses, she became a principal in schools in Westport and Beloit. She retired after 27 years as principal of Our Lady of the Assumption School. After retiring, in August 2011, she was thrilled when Fr. Bill invited her to come to St. Stephen's Parish as secretary. She loves the close-knit, family spirit of the people at St. Stephens. Arlene enjoys traveling, especially to see her daughter and son-in-law in Houston. Her most phenomenal experience was her recent trip to the Holy Land.
